Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia(PAM)- Malaysian Institute of Architects today announce the winners of PAM-Tan Sri Ar. Chan Sau Lai Architecture Award (TSCSL AA) 2015.

Held at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and attended by winners and their family members, eminent members of the architectural and design community, the award ceremony was officiated and graced by the representative of Mayor DBKL , Mr Juminan Bin Samad, where he also toured the exhibition.

The Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) organized the fourth (4th) edition of the PAM-Tan Sri Ar. Chan Sau Lai (TSCSL) Architecture Award 2015 celebrating Malaysian young architectural talents from both local and universities globally. Wong Guan Xiong, a student of Archtiectural Association School of Architecture, United Kingdom beat 91 other entries to emerge the grand winner with his “The Living Thames Barrier” design scheme, taking home a winner certificate and cash price of RM25,000.00.

Tan Sri Chan, the founder of the award, and Executive Director of Beneton Properties Group, TSCSL said that the winning design has that special WOW factor and the theme is also visually dramatic in its design structure,

Quote The winning entry is a visually dramatic structure that provides Residential and Commercial usage within a bridge spanning the River Thames.  It is a clever use of Architecture and Engineering to create an exciting Architectural solution.” Unquote

The award ceremony which was held in Intercontinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur recognised nine designs, including the winner. There were four (4) “Commendation” awards an four (4) “Finalist” awards. The Commendation award winners, bringing back RM5,000 each and the Finalists award winners were awarded RM1,000 each.
